This year Horizon Hacks is hosting a hackathon focused on AI for Accessibility and Equity. Our goal is to empower participants to design and build AI-powered applications that make technology, education, healthcare, or essential services more accessible to underserved communities.

Around the world, millions of people face barriers to reliable healthcare, quality education, financial literacy, and basic digital resources. AI has the potential to bridge these gaps, but only when applied thoughtfully. Horizon Hacks challenges participants to ask: How can AI make life easier, safer, or fairer for people who lack equal access to technology today?

Participants will have the opportunity to work across multiple tracks, including health and wellness, education technology, finance, and assistive technology. Example projects include AI tutors, disease detection platforms, language access tools, financial literacy applications, and assistive devices for people with disabilities.

This hackathon is designed to encourage creativity, collaboration, and real-world impact. Participants will get the chance to showcase their solutions to a wider community.
